CLERMONT, Fla. – The Lock Haven University softball team (9-7) got a pair of timely home runs in a 2-0 win over Cedarville today, helping the Bald Eagles go 1-1 on the day. 
Lock Haven opened the day with a 4-2 extra-inning (8 inn.) loss to Saint Rose.
Today's win over Cedarville also marked a career milestone for Haven head coach 
Kelly Shannon as it marked her 150
th career win as a head coach. All 150 wins have come at LHU. 
 Trailing Saint Rose 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, 
Jodi Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) drilled a ball to the wall, which drove in the tying run. Weaknecht's double led to a play at the plate as LHU looked to win it, but the Bald Eagle runner was thrown out. 
Saint Rose scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning on the way to the win. 
Michelle Holweger (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was 2 for 2 with a RBI. 
Rachel Mouillesseaux (Endicott, N.Y./Union Endicott) struck out four over eight innings. 
The Bald Eagles responded with a 2-0 win over Cedarville, thanks to solo home runs from 
Becca Caputo (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore) and 
Jessica Strouse (Beech Creek, Pa./Central Mountain). 
Strouse led off the seventh with a solo homer, which followed Caputo's first career home run in the sixth. 
Weaknecht was solid at the plate again and finished with a pair of doubles. 
McKenna Garlock (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) was 3 for 4 and 
Paige Stuppy (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) went 2 for 3. 
Bekah Slattery (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) picked up the win, throwing her second straight shutout. She allowed five hits, two walks and struck out three. 
The Bald Eagles return to action in Florida on Friday, March 11 at 9 a.m. (vs. Minot State) and 11 a.m. (vs. West Liberty). LHU will round out its nine-day swing through the Sunshine State on Saturday, March 12 with games against Charleston (9 a.m.) and Assumption (11 a.m.).
