LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University baseball team (18-22) hung on to beat visiting Indiana (Pa.) University (17-23), 18-16 in a schedule nine-inning game today at Foundation Field.
The Bald Eagles and Crimson Hawks combined for 34 runs on 44 hits in the non-conference slugfest.
LHU scored 18 runs on 19 hits and was powered by a nine-inning bottom half of the fourth.
Nick Stotler (Pittsburgh/Coker College) was 3 for 5 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs scored.
Brady Chappell (Milton, Pa./Milton) was 4 for 5 with two RBIs, and both
Matt Lahn (Georgetown, ONT./Erie C.C.) and
Sam Kysor (Port Allegany, Pa./USC Upstate) had three hits apiece.
Jamie Eshleman (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) added a 2 for 3 outing that produced three RBIs and three runs scored.
LHU will host West Chester on Friday, April 22 at 1 p.m. in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East doubleheader.
