LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (2-1-1) earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw tonight on the road at Alderson Broaddus (1-1-2) in non-conference action.
Alderson Broaddus went up 1-0 just 7:03 into the match on a goal by Ashley Sibisi.
Troy Amspacher (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) tied the match in the 59
th minute when he converted from the penalty spot. It was Amspacher's sixth goal of the season as his torrid scoring streak to start the season continued today.
The two teams needed more than 90 minutes to separate their differences, but neither could find the back of the net in the extra 20 minutes of play.
Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) turned in a strong effort over 110 minutes tonight and finished with eight saves.
The Bald Eagles will return to action on Tuesday, September 13 at 3:30 p.m. when they host local-rival Bloomsburg University in LHU's 2016 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opener.
