The Lock Haven University volleyball team (0-3) dropped a pair of close matches on Day 2 of the LHU Tournament, falling to Shepherd and Charleston.

The Bald Eagles dropped their first match to Shepherd 3-0 (27-25, 25-13, 25-16).
Sarah Gomish (Ebensburg, Pa./Bishop Carroll) led the way in the match. She turned in 16 kills and provided a big offensive spark for the Bald Eagles.
Olivia Sass (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) dished out 10 assists.

LHU fell in the final game of the day against the University of Charleston 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 29-27).

Gomish again led the Bald Eagles against Charleston with nine kills. Sass tacked on eight more assists and junior
Annie Dombrowski (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) tallied 13 digs.

Sydney Belcastro (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell), who became the school's all-time leader in digs last night added to her school-record total with 14 more this morning vs. Shepherd and another 15 against Charleston.

The Bald Eagles are back in action tomorrow (Saturday, September 3) against Stonehill College at 5 p.m. in Thomas Fieldhouse.
