LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (9-10, 2-5 PSAC) dropped the final game of their three game home stand 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-18) to the University of Pitt-Johnstown (15-5, 5-2 PSAC).
Every time it seemed as though Lock Haven had settled in and were ready to make a run, the Mountain Cats were able to use their high-powered offense to keep the Bald Eagles at bay.
The Lock Haven offense was led by
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and her eight kills while
Chloe Williams (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) was next on the team with five kills.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) tallied 19 assists while
Paige Wolfe (Plano, Texas/Plano West) chipped in with six assists as well.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) led Lock Haven on defense with 15 digs while Nealon and
Veronica Morrison (Sugar Run, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) each had 10.
Next up for the Bald Eagles is an away match on Friday, October 13 against Kutztown. Game is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
