KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (9-11, 2-6 PSAC) was knocked off on the road at Kutztown (6-14, 1-7 PSAC) by a score of 3-1 (27-25, 19-25, 26-24, 25-23).
The Bald Eagles and the Golden Bears battled throughout their 4 set match, with three of the four sets being decided by only two points. The difference happened to be that Kutztown escaped with all three of those sets.
The Bald Eagles received a monster game from
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township). Stick was second on the team with 16 kills and also second on the team with 18 digs.
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) led the Haven on offense with 17 kills while
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) led the Haven defense with 31 digs.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) also played a great game for Lock Haven, tallying 54 assists and five digs.
Next up for the Bald Eagles is another road match on Saturday, October 14 at East Stroudsburg. Game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
