LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (11-13, 4-8 PSAC) dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) home game 3-0 (25-8, 25-20, 25-23) to Seton Hill University (18-4, 10-2 PSAC).
The Bald Eagles got off to a slow start on pink out night, but were able to regroup and give the Griffins a real challenge in the final two sets. LHU led late in third set, but Seton Hill was able to put together a run to hold off The Haven rally and give The Griffins the win.
The Lock Haven offense was led by
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and her eight kills while
Chloe Williams (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) was next on the team with seven kills.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) played a solid game for LHU, tallying 20 assists and a service ace.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) led Lock Haven on defense with 16 digs while Stick and
Holly Shoemaker (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) each had eight.
Next up for the Bald Eagles is another home match on Saturday, October 28 against California University of Pennsylvania. Game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
