ST. LOUIS – Michele Enck (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) scored twice in the first half,
Tamia Roach (Petit Valley, Trinidad and Tobago/St. Joseph's Convent Port-of-Spain) added two second-half goals and goalkeeper
Paige Stuppy (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) made four saves to power the Lock Haven University field hockey team (8-5, 3-3 A-10) past Saint Louis University (4-8, 0-5 A-10) tonight on the road in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action.
Tia Judy (East Prospect, Pa./Homeschooled) had a big night as well and finished with three assists. Roach also added an assist in the five-point effort.
Enck put LHU up 1-0 just 3:08 and with just 55 seconds left in the opening half, she made it 2-0.
Roach's first of two goals came in the 48
th minute and made it 3-0 Lock Haven. She capped the scoring in the 50
th minute.
The shutout was Lock Haven's third of the season.
The Bald Eagles will return home to host Richmond on Friday, Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. in an important A-10 contest. The next day – Saturday, Oct. 14 – Lock Haven will host Lehigh in non-conference action.
