LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (9-9, 2-4 PSAC) had a balanced attack from the entire lineup to defeat Cheyney (0-12, 0-6 PSAC) 3-0 (25-8, 25-7, 25-12).
The Bald Eagles came out firing in the first set as they got into a rhythm early and continued it for the entire game.
10 different LHU attackers recorded a kill as
Cassidy Hoover (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) paved the way with seven.
Paige Wolfe (Plano, Texas/Plano West) was the main setter for The Haven as she totaled 18 assists in the match.
LHU was dominate serving the ball as they totaled 16 aces.
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) and
Katie Eustice (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) led the team with five and four, respectively.
The Haven defense was dominate as they limited Cheyney to only 10 kills.
Holly Shoemaker (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) led the team with eight digs while
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) and Eustice chipped in with six each.
The Bald Eagles will wrap up their three game home stand next as they are set to host Pitt-Johnstown on Tuesday, October 10 at 7:00 pm.
