LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (3-7, 1-5 PSAC) opened its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East schedule today and the Bald Eagles fell to Bloomsburg University (6-4, 2-4) in a back-and-forth battle, 87-76.
Today also marked a special day as the LHU men's basketball team welcomed members of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Basketball League. Prior to the men's game, the youngsters had a meet and greet with the Bald Eagles and got to take in the game today vs. PSAC East rival Bloomsburg.
Ra'eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) led The Haven as he recorded a double-double, netting 12 points and bringing in 11 rebounds.
Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara) shot 9-15 from the field including 4-7 from beyond the 3-point line, as he totaled a team-high 22 points.
Lock Haven also had two more scorers reach double figures as
Matt Cerruti (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) chipped in with 10 points and
Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) added 15 points and six rebounds.
Jihad Barnes (Philadelphia/Philadelphia Electric Charter) played a well-rounded game as he scored eight points and dished out six assists.
The Bald Eagles will return to the court on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 when they are set to face Mansfield University in a road tilt.

The Haven took time before the game for a meet and greet with members of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Basketball League.
