MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (10-12, 6-12 PSAC) dropped a pivotal Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest at Millersville University (8-15, 7-12 PSAC), 88-82.
Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) had another strong offensive game for the Bald Eagles finishing with 23 points, four rebounds and three assists.
LHU had three other players also finish in double-digits.
Ra'eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist),
Cole Renninger (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) and
Khaleeq Campbell (Chester, Pa./Chester) finished with 17, 12 and 11, respectfully.
Campbell shot 50% from deep, knocking down three out of six attempts from three-point land.
Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara) finished with five points and five rebounds.
Craig Slade (Philadelphia/Constitution) and
Jihad Barnes (Philadelphia/Philadelphia Electric Charter) both turned in solid efforts. Slade finished with five points and seven rebounds while Barnes racked up six points and five boards.
The Bald Eagles trailed by as many as 13 points with under 2:30 to play in the second half and battled back to cut the Millersville lead to just four points with 39 seconds remaining, after an
Alsmith Saintilius (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) three pointer.
Lock Haven will return to the court on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Cheyney.
