CHARLOTTE, NC. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (3-1) fell just short to Queens University of Charlotte (5-2) in an epic 3OT game by a final of 7-6.

Hannah Houde (Jackson, N.J./Slippery Rock Univ.) stepped up when she needed and turned away shot after shot from Queens. She had four saves in the first half, three saves in the second half and three saves in the over-time periods.

The Haven got on the scoreboard first with yet another goal from
Rachel Engler (Perkiomenville, Pa./Rutgers) within the first minute of play. This marks the third time this year LHU has scored within the first minute.

The first half was all offensive with both teams scoring five goals. It then turned into a defensive battle for the remaining of the game.

Engler finished with four goals for the Bald Eagles bringing her season total to 22 in just four games.

Katie Costanza (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) and
Karli Gilbert (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown) both chipped in with one goal apiece.

Shannon Bissnette (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) and
Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) also helped out on the offensive end assisting in three and two goals respectively. Both Bissnette and Kilian lead the team in assists thus far with 16 and 14 respectively.
