BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The No. 20 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (8-6, 5-4 PSAC) rolled past Bloomsburg University (8-6, 5-5 PSAC), 20-10, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
Senior
Rachel Engler (Perkiomenville, Pa./Rutgers) notched nine points for the Bald Eagles in a 20-10 victory over local foe Bloomsburg. Engler found the back of the net seven times and dished out two assists. Engler's seven goal effort is her second most goals in a game this season and it extends her season total to 49.
Ashley Gochenaur (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and
Shannon Bissnette (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) each tallied a hat-trick for the Bald Eagles.
Bissnette finished the game with four assists. That puts her career total at 167, just six assists behind third place.
Emily Brunie (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and
Katie Costanza (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) each netted two goals in today's victory.
Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) and
Alex O'Herrick (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) each finished with one goal.
Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) had a career game, finishing with eight points. Kilian dished out seven assists while scoring one goal of her own.
Senior goalkeeper
Hannah Houde (Jackson, N.J./Slippery Rock) made 11 saves on 21 shots against a solid Bloomsburg offense.
The Bald Eagles are back in action Saturday, April 22 when they travel to Erie, Pa. to take on Gannon University at 4 p.m.
