GARNET VALLEY, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (25-9) swept host Lincoln University (5-30), 7-0 and 9-1.

Lock Haven won game one 7-0 after pitchers
Tom Cockill (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Mercer Community College) and
Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) threw a combined one-hitter. In game two, the Bald Eagles got a strong start from
Matt Lahn (Georgetown, ONT./Erie Community College), who pitched four-innings of one-hit ball on the way to the win. LHU took game two 9-1.

The two wins today push Lock Haven's season record to 25-9 and help the Bald Eagles lock up their first winning-season since 2002. The 25 wins are also the most since LHU posted a 25-win season in 2002. The 25 wins are tied for the fourth-most for a single-season.

In game one, Lock Haven racked up seven runs on 10 hits, but the biggest story was the effort of Cockill and Petersheim from the mound, as the two combined to throw a one-hitter.

Cockhill got the start and gave up a first-inning hit - Lincoln's only hit of the game. He struck out three and allowed one walk over the first three innings. Petersheim worked the final four innings on the way the way to the win. He didn't allow a hit and struck out four.

Kolby DeHaas (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Wenatchee Valley Community College) went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Cayden Stover (Beech Creek, Pa./Chesapeake College) was 3 for 5 with a RBI, and
Hunter Szaflarski (Greencastle, Pa./Hagerstown Community College) was 2 for 4 a RBI and a run scored.

In game two, Lahn got the call to start and worked four solid innings. He allowed just one hit and struck out four. He also homered in the first winning to spark the offense and help his own cause. His home run was a three-run shot and one of two hits in the game for him.

DeHass was 2 for 3 in game two.

The Bald Eagles will now turn their focus on a four-game Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East series with No. 24 Millersville University. The battle between two of the best teams this season in the Atlantic Region opens Friday (April 21) at Millersville (1/3 p.m.) and they will play again on Saturday (April 22) in Lock Haven (1/3 p.m.).
