MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (25-11, 11-7 PSAC East) was edged 3-2 and 2-0 by host and 24
th ranked Millersville University (26-12, 10-8 PSAC East) today in a tightly contested Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East doubleheader.
 
Millersville won today's opener 3-2 and completed the sweep with 2-0 victory in game two.
 
The highly-anticipated series that features two of the region's top teams will conclude tomorrow in Lock Haven.  
 
Millersville scored three runs on eight hits on way to the 3-2 Game-1 win.
 
Trailing 3-0, the Bald Eagles rallied in the fifth and scored a pair of runs after 
Hunter Szaflarski (Greencastle, Pa./Hagerstown Community College) knocked in a run on a sacrifice fly, and 
Nick Stotler (Pittsburgh/Coker College) singled in a run.
 
LHU Pitcher 
Avery Eddy (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) struck out five.
 
Millersville won game two, 2-0.
 
Tyson Petersheim (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) was 2 for 3 at the plate and pitcher 
Mike Anthony (Audubon, Pa./North Hampton Community College) struck out six as the duo did all it could to spark the Bald Eagles.
 
Lock Haven loaded the bases in the seventh and tried to rally, but just couldn't sneak a run across home.
 
The Bald Eagles and Millersville will do it again tomorrow (Saturday, April 22) in Lock Haven. Game 1's first pitch is set for 1 p.m. tomorrow on a day where LHU will hold its new scoreboard dedication ceremony.
