Today marked LHU's annual "Knock MS Out of the Park" Game.
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team (24-18, 12-6 PSAC Central) split a home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central doubleheader today with Clarion University (7-41, 3-15 PSAC Central).
Clarion edged Lock Haven 1-0 in game one, but the Bald Eagles responded and took game two, 2-0.
McKenna Garlock (Three Springs, Pa./Southern Huntingdon) went 2 for 3 at the plate and despite the game-one loss, LHU pitcher
Bekah Slattery (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) struck out nine. Slattery scattered three hits over seven innings.
In game two, the Bald Eagles scored two runs on six hits and took down Clarion, 2-0.
Becca Caputo (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore) went 2 for 2 at the plate and
Chloe Kennedy (Elkton, Md./Caravel Academy) drove in a run.
Rachel Mouillesseaux (Endicott, N.Y./Union Endicott) went the distance in the circle and scattered just two hits in a complete-game shutout-win. She struck out eight.
Lock Haven heads to rival Bloomsburg University tomorrow (Saturday, April 29) to close out the 2017 regular season.
