LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Brian Flatter (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) scored in the 72
nd minute to the even the match at 2-2 and the score remained the same after 110 minutes, as the Lock Haven University men's soccer team (4-1-3, 2-0-1 PSAC) battled to a 2-2 double-overtime draw with Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival Slippery Rock University (1-3-2, 0-0-2 PSAC).
Christian Wieand (Elizabethtown, Pa./Muhlenberg) put the Bald Eagles up 1-0 just 5:45 into the match after he drilled a free kick home from 35 yards out.
The 1-0 LHU-lead stood at halftime, but Slippery Rock tied the match in the 55
th minute on a goal from Anthony Werth. Igor McVeagh put SRU up 2-1 in the 61
st minute.

After 90 minutes and four goals, the two teams headed to overtime, but neither team could take advantage of the extra 20 minutes of play. After 110 minutes, the PSAC match ended level at 2-2.
Troy Teresak (Pompton Plains, N.J./DePaul Catholic) made three saves for Lock Haven.
Today's draw kept LHU unbeaten at both home (3-0-2) and in conference play (2-0-1), and the point helped Lock Haven keep pace among the leaders in the conference standings.
The Bald Eagles will wrap up a busy weekend on Sunday, September 24 at Shippensburg University (3:30 p.m.) in PSAC action.
