SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (3-4-0, 3-4-0 PSAC) defeated the Shippensburg Raiders (2-5-1, 1,4 PSAC) 2-1 to pick up a quality Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road win.
The Bald Eagles kept the Raiders defense busy all throughout the afternoon, racking up 19 shots on the day, including 11 on goal.
Ella Jones (Mohnton, Pa./Reading Area CC) led the charge with five shots, while four different Bald Eagles followed her with two shots each.
The Haven got their first goal off a superb free kick from

Haleigh Swam (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) added the second goal for the Haven just two minutes later, scoring off of the rebound of an
Erika Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) rip.
Shippensburg added a goal of their own to make the game 2-1, but Lock Haven was able to fend the Raiders off down the stretch to secure the win.
Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) was fantastic in goal, totaling five saves and anchoring a solid defensive effort by the Haven.
