MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (2-9, 1-6 PSAC) was topped by Mansfield University (4-9, 2-5 PSAC) on the road in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest, 71-59.
The game was a back-and-forth battle as the Bald Eagles held on to a slim 27-26 lead. The second half saw the two teams improve their shooting percentage each by over 12% as the Mounties pulled away late to secure the victory.
Leading the way for LHU was
Jordyn Kloster (Manchester, Pa./Millersville) who scored 10 points on 4-7 shooting from the field and added eight rebounds.
Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) led the team in points with 11 while
Kayla Henderson (Philadelphia/Lackawanna College),
Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (State College, Pa./State College) and
Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) all chipped in with eight points, respectively.
Annie Dombrowski (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) was all over the boards as she hauled in seven rebounds.
Up next for The Haven is a return to Thomas Fieldhouse as they are set to host East Stroudsburg University on Saturday, January 6 with tip-off at 2:00 pm.
