BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (7-9, 2-5 PSAC) was able to knock off Bloomsburg University (4-12, 0-7 PSAC) 3-1 (25-13, 25-22, 18-25, 25-17) in both teams' Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central division opener Tuesday in Bloomsburg.
The win gives the Bald Eagles their second straight PSAC win and moves them to 7-9 on the season.
The LHU offense was led by
Chloe Williams (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) as she recorded 14 kills and a .407 hitting percentage in the match. She also added two digs and two total blocks.
Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) registered a double-double for LHU, tallying 10 kills and 11 digs while
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) had 10 kills.
Defensively,
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) once again led the way for the Haven, tallying 29 digs on the night.
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) added 14 digs while
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added 13.
Nealon also added 35 assists to complete her own double-double.
Sarah Gomish and Grace Giza led Bloomsburg, recording 11 kills each.
