SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (8-14, 3-10 PSAC) fell on the road at Slippery Rock University (9-12, 6-7 PSAC), 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 26-24), Saturday afternoon on the road in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) led the LHU offense, totaling 14 kills in the match.
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) also had a strong offensive performance, tallying 11 kills of her own.
Defensively, The Bald Eagles were led by standout Libero
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) as she tallied 30 digs to lead five different players with double-digit digs in the match. Stick added 13 digs to complete her double-double while
Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) added 12 digs,
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) had 11 digs and
Cassidy Hoover (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) had 10 digs.
Chloe Williams (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) was also very strong defensively for LHU, tallying three solo blocks and five block assists for a total of eight blocks.
Nealon also racked up 40 assists in the match to complete a double-double of her own.
