RICHMOND, Va. – Host-Richmond (6-11, 3-4 A-10) scored once in each half and downed the Lock Haven University field hockey team (8-8, 2-5 A-10), 2-0, today in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action.
Elise Zwicklbauer scored just 2:02 into the game and Richmond made it 2-0 in the 63
rd minute on a goal from Nealy Henderson.
Dana-Lee De Gannes (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago/Maraval),
Tamia Roach (Petit Valley, Trinidad and Tobago/St. Joseph's Convent Port-of-Spain) and
MacKenzie Farley (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Springs) all had two shots for Lock Haven as the trio did all it could to spark the offensive unit today on the road.
LHU goalkeepers
Brianna DeAngelis (Doylestown, Pa./Monmouth) and
Joaquina Orlandini (Concordia, Argentina/San Antonio School) played the first and second half, respectively, and each finished with one save.
Lock Haven held a slight 8-6 advantage in shots, and team corners were even at 2-2.
Lock Haven will now return home to close the 2018 regular season. LHU will host Monmouth on Friday, October 26 at 3 p.m., before closing A-10 regular-season play on Sunday, October 28 at 1 p.m. vs. La Salle.
