The Lock Haven University lacrosse team will return to action today (Wednesday, February 28) when the Bald Eagles face Dominican University at 4PM at the Charlotte E. Smith Field. This will be Lock Haven's second game in a three-game home stand to start the season, which began with LHU's 16-10 win over Georgian Court on Tuesday, February 20. Lock Haven will play Wheeling Jesuit next Tuesday, March 6 at 4PM before heading to Florida over Spring Break.

Three things to watch for:

Strong Starts:
Over its past five seasons dating back to 2013, LHU has won their second game at home following a victory in their home opener. The wins have come at wide margins in some years, such as the Haven's 22-2 win over the University of Findlay last season, and ultimately have been won by a combined margin of 83-29. Lock Haven will look to continue that trend today.

Youth Movement:
LHU's roster will feature a number of new faces this season, having 12 true freshmen and one redshirt freshman. The last time Lock Haven fielded this many freshmen student-athletes was in the 2012 season when the team had an identical number of true freshmen and redshirt freshman. This young core will look to guide Lock Haven to a return to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament, having last competed in the tournament in 2016.

Caused Turnovers:
In its opener last week, the Bald Eagles had 17 caused turnovers against Georgian Court. The Haven has already surpassed their single-game high in that category from last season, which was 11 in games against Millersville and Indiana (Pa.) respectively. That number is also the highest for a single game in LHU's previous three years.
