No. 25 Bald Eagles roll past Dominican

The No. 25 LHU lacrosse team saw its offensive unit heat up to the tune of 23 goals from 13 different players and the Bald Eagles soared by visiting Dominican, 23-5.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The No. 25 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (2-0) powered its way to a 2-0 start to the season thanks to a 23-goal effort as the Bald Eagles soared by visiting Dominican College (0-2), 23-5 today at home.
 
LHU's 23 goals came from 13 different players including Katie Costanza (Denver, Pa./Cocalico), who scored five goals.
 
On the defensive side, Lock Haven limited the Chargers to just five goals including only one in the second half. LHU forced 21 Dominican turnovers and the Bald Eagles recorded 20 ground balls.
 
LHU outshot the Chargers 42-16.
 
Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) powered the LHU offense with seven assists. She added two goals.
 
Ashley Gochenaur (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) both netted hat tricks and Dana Laulis (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) scored twice. Freshman Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) added a goal to go along with a four-assist outing.
 
Goalkeeper Lauren Marte (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) was solid in her second win of the season. She played the first half and made four saves in 30 minutes of action.
