BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (7-13, 5-11 PSAC) was edged out in a close battle throughout the game by Bloomsburg University (12-9, 8-9) on the road in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action, 85-77.
The Bald Eagles and Huskies played a tightly contested game as there were 14 lead changes and eight times where the game was tied.
Ra'eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) was an animal as he was just one rebound shy of a double-double. He scored 15 points while hauling in nine rebounds.
Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) heated up late to try and rally The Haven as he finished the game with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara) was able to find the open man throughout the game as he finished with a team-high seven assists.
Freshman
Matt Cerruti (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) also chipped in on the offensive end totaling 14 points.
Leading the way for Bloomsburg was sophomore Khary Mauras who notched a triple-double. He netted 21 points, 13 assists and brought down 11 rebounds in 38 minutes of action.
The Haven will remain on the road for their next tilt as they travel to take on East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, February 7. The contest is set to tip-off at 8:00 p.m.
