BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (4-16, 3-13 PSAC) dropped a tough game on the road to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East rival Bloomsburg University (8-15, 5-12 PSAC) 66-54.
The Bald Eagles and The Huskies played a very tight game throughout with three of the four quarters decided by two points or less. Unfortunately, Bloomsburg was able to win every quarter of the game and fend off LHU late to get the win.
The Lock Haven offense was led by a strong performance by
Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (State College, Pa./State College). Shelton-Burleigh was able to score 17 points, including 5-5 from the free throw line, to go with four rebounds and a steal.
Bink Redman (York, Pa./William Penn) also played well offensively for The Bald Eagles, scoring 13 points on 6-10 from the field.
Mackenzie Livingston (Blairsville, Pa./IUP) and
Jordyn Kloster (Manchester, Pa./Millersville) were all over the court for LHU. Kloster recorded seven points and a team-high five rebounds while Livingston totaled five points and four rebounds with three of her rebounds being on the offensive end.
The Bald Eagles will return to the court on Wednesday, February 7
th when they travel to East Stroudsburg. That game is set for a 6:00 p.m. tip.
