LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Redshirt-sophomore Amir Hinton (Philadelphia/Abington) of the Lock Haven University men's basketball team has been named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East First Team.
 
He earned a spot on the First Team as a guard. Last year's PSAC East Freshman of the Year, Hinton is now a two-time First Team selection.
 
Hinton averaged 23.4 points per game, which ranked second in the PSAC and 10^th in Division II. His 585 points ranked third in the league, and he reached the 1,000-point mark this season, becoming the fastest player in PSAC history to do so.
 
Hinton averaged 6.7 rebounds per game and had three point-rebound double-doubles on the season. In all (25GP/24 GS), Hinton scored in double figures in every game including a season-best 47 points vs. California (Pa.) on January 8.
 
He also finished with 70 assists (2.8/game) and his 2.4 steals per game led the PSAC and ranked 10^th in the NCAA (DII).
 
After two seasons, Hinton has scored 1,227 points.
