CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Blake Deegan and
Dean Coleman-Newsome of the Lock Haven men's basketball team was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
In order to be eligible to earn CSC Academic All-District recognition, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in eligibility both athletically as well as academically, own a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and have significant athletic credentials. Additionally, athletes must have competed in 90 percent of their institution's games or have started in at least 66 percent of its contests.
The duo helped lead the Bald Eagles to their seventh straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament.
Deegan earned his second CSC Academic All-District honor after maintaining a 3.53 GPA as a sports management major.
A two-time PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week, Deegan led the Bald Eagles in rebounding (6.3) and ranked fourth with 10.9 points per game.
Coleman-Newsome earned the distinction after holding a 3.68 GPA as a marketing major.
The junior started all 29 games and finished third in scoring with 11.3 points per game and second in assists per game with 3.1. He also brought home a PSAC Defensive Player of the Week award.
