WILSON, N.C. - The Lock Haven University baseball team (7-3) fell to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2-8) in a high scoring affair, 13-7 in the team's second game of the spring break trip in Wilson, N.C.
The Bald Eagles offense continued to stay hot as eight players recorded a hit.
Nick Stotler (Pittsburgh/Coker College) and
Keyshawn D'Orso (Pittsburgh/Mercyhurst North East Community College) led the way as they each went 3-5 on the day.
Cayden Stover (Beech Creek, Pa./Chesapeake College) and
Demetrius Haskins (Pitsburgh/Taylor Alderdice) each batted in one run apiece while
Kolby Dehaas (Coeur D'Alene, Idaho/Wenatchee Valley Community College) and D'Orso each drove in two runs.
On the mound,
Avery Eddy () pitched 6 2/3 innings of ball as he scattered six hits, struck out seven and didn't allow an earned run.
The game today was originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m., but was pushed back until 5:00 p.m. due to more inclement weather.
Lock Haven will play the final game of the trip on tomorrow, March 14 against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe California (Pa.). That game is scheduled for a 11:00 a.m. first pitch.
