CLERMONT, Fla. - The Lock Haven University softball team (6-6) capped day three of the PFX Tournament as they competed against Southern Connecticut State (1-4) before taking on Charleston (12-5) under the lights to wrap up action. The Bald Eagles knocked off SCSU 7-0 before knocking off Charleston 5-1.
In game one,
Kayla Gee (Williamsport, Pa/Loyalsock) was able to throw a complete game one-hitter as LHU took care of business against Southern Connecticut State University.
In game two,
Bekah Slattery (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) was able to get the win on the mound, going seven innings strong and striking out nine.
Madison Mathes (Hammonton, N.J. Hammonton),
Moriah Lindsey (Woolrich, Pa./Central Mountain) and
Faith Ceely (Troy, Pa/Troy) all recorded two hits in the game.
LHU will have an off day tomorrow before returning to action on Friday at the PFX Tournament when The Haven is set to take on Bridgeport at 11:30 a.m. before its contest vs Bemidji State at 2 p.m.
