No. 22 Bald Eagles edged out at Millersville

The No. 22 LHU lacrosse team was edged 16-15 at Millersville in a thrilling offensive shootout.

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The No. 22 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (6-2, 2-1 PSAC) was edged 16-15 by host Millersville University (6-2, 2-2 PSAC) this afternoon in a thrilling Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) shootout.
 
Lock Haven led 8-6 at halftime, but Millersville used a strong second half to comeback and secure the win. The two teams combined for 31 goals in the offensive shootout.
 
The Bald Eagles' offensive stars all showed up, but their outstanding efforts came up just short on the road today.
 
Katie Costanza (Denver, Pa./Cocalico), Dana Laulis (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Alex O'Herrick (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) all produced five-point games. Constanza had five goals, while Laulis had a goal and four assists. O'Herrick finished with 14 draw controls to along with two a three-goal, two-assist outing.
 
Ashley Gochenaur (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) netted four goals and Hayley Kilian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) had a goal and three assists.
 
Defensively, The Haven unit was credited with 10 caused turnovers and goalkeeper Lauren Marte (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) made five saves.
