WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The No. 23 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (10-5, 6-4 PSAC) dropped a tough Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road game at No. 9 West Chester (15-0, 10-0 PSAC) 17-7 as LHU moves to 10-5 on the year and 6-4 in conference play.
Alex O'Herrick (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) led the Lock Haven offense, scoring two goals on the day to go along with three ground balls while
Ashley Gochenaur (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) tallied two assists.
Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) had six draw controls while
Loren Librizzi (Miller Place, N.Y./Millerplace) led Lock Haven with five ground balls.
Katie McDonough (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) and
Dana Laulis (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) each had four ground balls apiece.
Lauren Marte (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) was solid in goal for The Haven, recording 13 saves on the day.
Today's PSAC contest featured two nationally-ranked teams and two teams ranked among the top-five in the NCAA Atlantic Region rankings. On Wednesday (April 18) afternoon, the NCAA released its first edition of the NCAA regional rankings and Lock Haven was ranked No. 4 in the region, while West Chester held the top spot in the Atlantic.
