BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Despite a solid 90 minutes and 12 shots, the Lock Haven University women's soccer team (2-2, 2-2 PSAC) fell to regionally-ranked Bloomsburg (4-1, 4-1 PSAC) 2-0 on the road tonight in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
The host-Huskies scored once in each half.
After LHU went down 1-0 just 2:48 into the match on a Kate Scholotter goal, the Bald Eagles controlled much of the match.
Marah Foltz (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) looked to find the equalizer midway through the second half, but her shot was saved by BU goalkeeper Jenna Hawkins. Despite the Lock Haven pressure, Bloomsburg found an insurance goal in the 66
th minute.
Foltz was a spark for LHU no doubt and she finished with seven shots including three shots on goal.
Bree Hilty (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) made three saves for the Bald Eagles.
LHU will host Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, September 15 at 5 p.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium.
