LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (5-7, 0-3 PSAC) fell at home to Clarion University (11-4, 2-1 PSAC) 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23) in Friday night Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action at the Thomas Fieldhouse.
The Bald Eagles and The Golden Eagles exchanged runs throughout much of the match, Clarion was able to capitalize on a few LHU mistakes in order to fend off The Haven and get the win.
Gloria Kroh (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) led the Bald Eagles offense with 13 kills while
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) chipped in with nine kills of her own.
Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) led the LHU defense as she was one of four Bald Eagles to total double-digit digs. Whiteman tallied 27 digs in the match while
Veronica Morrison (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing Valley) tallied 12,
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) tallied 11 and
Gabrielle Stick (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) tallied 11 as well.
Nealon also tallied 36 assists for Lock Haven.
UP NEXT: The Bald Eagles will stay at home for the next game when they welcome the Crimson Hawks of IUP to Thomas Fieldhouse tomorrow (September 22). That game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm first serve.
