MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – After the start of tonight's match was delayed an hour and 25 minutes because of lightning, the Lock Haven University men's soccer team (4-5-1, 2-3 PSAC) was edged 1-0 on the road at Millersville University (3-2-4, 1-1-1 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
Tonight's PSAC match was scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, but inclement weather including rain and lightning delayed the start by well over an hour. After things finally got underway, neither team could score in the opening 45 minutes of play and LHU and Millersville were scoreless at halftime.
Early in the second half Millersville tallied the game's only goal tonight after Jaxson Burns scored in the 48
th minute. The early second-half goal was all Millersville needed to earn the important PSAC win at home.
The Marauders held a slight 12-9 advantage in shots, but only three were on target. LHU goalkeeper
Camden Cook (Rosedale, Md./High Point) made two saves.
Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown), one of LHU's biggest all-around sparks as of late, finished with four shots, including one on goal.
Lock Haven will host East Stroudsburg next Wednesday, October 3.
