LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (6-12, 0-8 PSAC, 0-1 Central) opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division action vs. Interstate-80 rival Bloomsburg University (7-13, 1-6 PSAC, 1-0 Central) tonight at home and the Bald Eagles fell to the Huskies in straight sets.  
 
Despite the 3-0 loss, Lock Haven battled in each set of the tightly contested match, but in the end Bloomsburg came out on top, 25-21, 25-14 and 25-19.
 
Leading the way for LHU was Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) who had 10 kills.
 
Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) had 21 assists to lead the Bald Eagles. Madison Goodwin (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle Antrim) led the way for LHU with 11 digs.
 
This marked the first of two matches vs. Bloomsburg this season in PSAC Central action. Last season, the two split their two-match series during the regular season.

Tonight marked the first match of a three-match homestand for Lock Haven. On Friday (October 18), LHU will host IUP at 7p.m. before hosting Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday (Oct. 19) at noon.
