SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's (PSAC) leading scorer
Andrea DiSomma (Lancaster, Pa./ Manheim Township) and the Lock Haven University men's soccer team (6-7, 3-4 PSACE) travelled to Shippensburg University (1-6-3, 1-5-1 PSACE) and won, 4-2, in a PSAC East matchup Saturday afternoon.
The 4-2 score line came courtesy of DiSomma's third hat-trick of the year. His mark of 13 goals is tops in the conference.
DiSomma got the scoring going in the 16
th minute off an assist from
Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) and the Haven took a 1-0 lead to halftime.
The Bald Eagles struck twice more in the opening five minutes of the second half when DiSomma notched two more goals including a beautifully struck free kick.
The Raiders rallied back and brought the score to 3-2 in the 82
nd minute before
Ivo Klaric (Vienna, Austria/University of Vienna) put the final nail in the coffin just 48 seconds later. Sibiski also notched his second assist on that goal and was crucial in the Haven attack.
Camden Cook (Rosedale, Md./High Point) turned in a fine performance and made nine critical saves to help preserve the Haven lead.
