Men’s Soccer drops road match versus East Stroudsburg

The LHU men’s soccer team fell to hosts East Stroudsburg 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's soccer team (4-6, 1-3 PSAC East) fell to East Stroudsburg University (5-2-2, 2-2 PSAC East), 1-0, Sunday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
 
The Warriors struck just 4:18 into the game on an Irvin Zuzic strike and were able to fend off the Haven's best effort and see out the full 90 minutes.
 
Andrea DiSomma (Lancaster, Pa./ Manheim Township) registered two of the eight Bald Eagles shots, one of which was on target. Alec Mapoy (Brick, N.J./Monsignor Donovan), Justin Douglas (Allentown, Pa./ Parkland) and Zane Puhala (Brockway, Pa./ Brockway Area) each posted one of the Haven's four shots on target.
 
Camden Cook (Rosedale, Md./High Point) made eight saves in his efforts to keep the Haven in the game.
 
"It was a tough road game." Said Coach Patrick Long, "Lots of credit to East Stroudsburg in their defensive shape. A lot of good learning opportunities to get better as we prepare for an important PSAC East game against Shepherd on Wednesday."
