LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (2-2) dominated the Penn State Altoona Lady Lions (1-2) Tuesday night at Thomas Fieldhouse, earning an 82-49 victory.

The Bald Eagles took charge right away, controlling play for most of the first quarter and holding an 11-point lead before Penn State Altoona would even get on the board. Lock Haven held the Lady Lions to just four points in the first quarter, the least amount of points they have allowed in a quarter so far this season.

Penn State Altoona pushed back in the second quarter, but would not be able to catch up to the Bald Eagles surmounting lead, as Lock Haven went in to halftime ahead 38-12. Continuing the pressure, the Haven tallied 28 points in the third quarter, taking an authoritative 66-22 lead in to the fourth quarter. The Lady Lions put up 27 points in the fourth, but were unable to match Lock Haven's offensive power, falling to the Bald Eagles 82-49.

Freshman
Marena Lonardi (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) continues to put on an offensive show, leading the team with 18 points against the Lady Lions and going 5-6 from the free throw stripe. Lonardi now sits at the top of the chart in points (62) and field goals made (24) for the Bald Eagles. Â

Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Monroe CC)) tallied 14 points for Lock Haven, adding seven field goals on ten attempts. Robinson added another 13 rebounds tonight, good for best on the team, pushing her season total to 55 (13.8/game) which leads the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) also scored in the double digits, adding 12.

As a team, Lock Haven tallied 19 steals, the most in a single game so far this season.
Bink Redman (York, Pa./William Penn) led the Bald Eagles with five steals, while also notching two blocks, five assists, six points, and six rebounds.
