FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (0-2) closed the 2019 MEC/PSAC Challenge on Saturday afternoon with an 86-60 loss to Concord University (1-1).
The Bald Eagles took an early lead, but a tough second quarter saw the Mountain Lions take a 39-22 lead in to halftime. Despite a hard fought second half, Lock Haven was unable to make up the deficit, falling 86-60.
Rileigh Devine (Etters, Pa./Red Land) and
Marena Lonardi (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) led Lock Haven's offense, recording 13 points and a steal each, and bringing in three and four rebounds respectively. Freshman
Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Monroe CC)) collected eight rebounds, once again leading the Bald Eagles, while tallying nine points.
Trinity Sumrall (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) added 11 points.
UP NEXT: The Bald Eagles will face Nyak College at Thomas Fieldhouse next Saturday, November 16 at 1 P.M for their 2019 home opener.
