LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After an OT thriller the last time out, Lock Haven (4-4, 1-3 PSAC East) found themselves in another close contest. Clarion (2-7, 1-3 PSAC West) prevailed in the end taking the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover match-up, 69-65.
The Golden Eagles and Bald Eagles played a tightly contested first half. It was back and forth action throughout as the biggest advantage in the half was held by Lock Haven at seven points.
Clarion hit a couple buckets late to close the half making the score 32-29 at the break.
The second half proved to play out as the first half did. Neither team could separate themselves trading basket after basket within the first 10 minutes of the half.
With nine and change to go Clarion pushed their lead to 12 points. However, LHU did not go away quietly. After being down by as many as 12 points, the Bald Eagles diminished the Golden Eagle led to one point.
