LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Lock Haven University men's basketball team (10-10, 7-8 PSAC) dropped their matchup against East Stroudsburg University (15-6, 12-3 PSAC), 77-62, on Wednesday night Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action in Thomas Fieldhouse.
East Stroudsburg would jump out to an early 21-10 advantage with seven minutes gone in the first half. Going into halftime, the Warriors would lead 41-24.
In the second half, the Warriors would hold onto their lead despite a scoring push from
Matt Cerruti (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood). Lock Haven was unable to claw their way back into the game and East Stroudsburg pulled away for a 77-62 win.
Cerruti would continue his torrid pace as he led the Bald Eagles offensively scoring racking up 28 points on 10-18 from the field. Cerruti would also tally his fourth double-double on the year as he grabbed 10 rebounds.
Jesse McPherson (Philadelphia/Archbishop Wood) was the other Bald Eagle in double figures scoring 17 points on 7-11 from the field.
Jihad Barnes (Philadelphia/Philadelphia Electric Charter) would score eight points and add six rebounds and three steals.
The Bald Eagles will take on Shippensburg on Saturday, February 16 in their next game. That game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
