*Schedule Updates

Tomorrow's (March 3) game scheduled with Glenville State has been cancelled due to the impending snow forecast expected to hit. The Bald Eagles will wrap up the weekend today (March 2) against Fairmont State. The first pitch for that game is still scheduled for 4:00 PM.

Fri, March 1: Today's game has been moved back to a 2 p.m. start (updated, 10 a.m.)

We will update this page with updates all weekend long …

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team is set for another busy weekend, as the Bald Eagles head to Glenville, West Virginia for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) – Mountain East Conference (MEC) Crossover tournament.

The Bald Eagles will open a busy three-game weekend on Friday, March 1 vs. West Liberty at Glenville State College. First pitch is set for 12:45 p.m.

On Saturday (March 2), LHU will take on Fairmont State at 4 p.m., before capping the weekend on Sunday (March 3) with a 2 p.m. game vs. host Glenville State. Please note the time change for Sunday's game. The game was originally scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

All three games are scheduled nine-inning contests.

Last weekend, the Bald Eagles opened the 2019 season and despite tremendous starting-pitching, LHU went 1-3 overall. Through four games, the LHU pitching staff has already racked up 35 strikeouts (8.75/game).

PSAC-MEC Crossover, at Glenville State (Glenville, W.Va.)

Fri, March 1 vs. West Liberty: W, 10-9

The Bald Eagles trailed 9-6 heading into the bottom of the 9th inning. LHU then used three consecutive singles to load up the bases for Liam McArthur (Basking Ridge, N.J./Seton Hall). McArthur delivered in the clutch with a bases-clearing double down the right field line to tie the ballgame up at 9-9.

After two walks loaded the bases once again, McArthur was able to score the game winning run on a wild pitch to give LHU the bigtime comeback victory and start the weekend off 1-0.

Sat, March 2 vs. Fairmont State: L, 7-3

The Bald Eagles fell in the second and final game of the weekend, 7-3 to Fairmont State.

Sun, March 3 vs. Glenville State: CANCELLED

Overall. Lock Haven finishes up the weekend trip 1-1 after the exciting walk-off win over West Liberty yesterday (March 1). With tomorrow's game against Glenville State being cancelled, LHU will next return to the field when the team travels to Wilson, North Carolina to play four games over three days. LHU will begin the weekend on Friday, March 8 when the team takes on Alderson Broaddus in a single, nine inning game. That game is scheduled for a 9:00 AM first pitch.

*Please note, because of the number of games being played at Glenville State College this weekend, full box scores may not be available immediately following the games. Check back to GoLHU.com and follow us on Twitter: @HavenAthletics for updates.
