Bald Eagles fall at home to divisional leader Bloomsburg

The LHU Women’s Basketball team fell at home to PSAC East leader Bloomsburg 66-47 Saturday afternoon at the Thomas Fieldhouse.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (11-11, 6-9) fell at home to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Divisional leader Bloomsburg (16-7, 12-4 PSAC) 66-47 Saturday afternoon at the Thomas Fieldhouse.

LHU is tied with Millersville for the fifth spot in the PSAC East playoff hunt while remaining a half game above East Stroudsburg for the sixth and final playoff spot in the East.

After a very even first half that left Bloom with a 29-27 halftime advantage, The Huskies were able to use a strong third quarter to edge ahead and keep the lead to knock off the Bald Eagles.

LHU was led by Ayanda McGill-Jefferson (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) as she finished with 11 points to go with eight rebounds and three assists.

Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) scored nine points and added five rebounds and one block.

Up Next: The Bald Eagles will host East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m.
