LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (1-3) fell to host Georgian Court (3-3) 16-11 this afternoon in non-conference action.

Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) provided a huge highlight for Lock Haven as she finished with a balanced stat line. She had two goals, two assists, two ground balls, two caused turnovers and five draw controls.

Karli Gilbert (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown) netted a hat trick and grabbed four draws. Both Campbell Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) and Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) scored twice for LHU. Loren Librizzi (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) dished out two assists.

Goalkeeper Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) kept Lock Haven in the game with a 15-save effort.

The host-Lions scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of game and with 15:10 left in the first half, Lock Haven trailed 6-1.

The Bald Eagles bounced back and a late first-half rally, which included a Gilbert-goal with just one second left, cut the Lion-lead to two (10-8).

Gilbert was quick to strike in the second, but Georgian Court played strong on its home turf and outscored Lock Haven 6-3 in a second half that saw both defensive units tighten.

LHU will play its second game of the week in New Jersey on Thursday (March 14) as the Bald Eagles travel to Caldwell, New Jersey to take on Caldwell University at 4 p.m.
