KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (3-10, 1-7 PSAC) dropped an away game at Kutztown University (6-6, 5-4 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
Zoe Waddell (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) got the offense started for the Bald Eagles, scoring the first two goals of the game.
After a first half that saw both teams go on scoring runs, Kutztown led Lock Haven, 7-6. Waddell and
Kate Hooper (Perth, Western Australia/St. Mary Anglican Girls School) had two goals each at halftime.
Despite a strong offensive push, the Golden Bears defense held strong and the Bald Eagles fell 14-12.
Hooper continues to lead the LHU offense, finishing with a team high 5 goals. She now has 34 goals on the season.
Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) and
Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) each tallied two goals of their own.
Raleigh Bateman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) rounded out the scoring with one goal.
Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) did all she could in net for the Bald Eagles, finishing with 17 saves in the game.
