SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (3-13, 1-10 PSAC) fell to Shippensburg University (5-10, 3-8 PSAC) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bald Eagle offense was led by
Kate Hooper (Perth, Western Australia/St. Mary Anglican Girls School) who finished the game with three goals and
Campbell Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) who finished with four assists.
At halftime, LHU held a slight 7-6 lead over the Raiders thanks to three first half assists by Brant.
Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) and
Zoe Waddell (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) each turned in two goals in the first half.
Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) and
Krysta Reading (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) rounded out the scoring for the Bald Eagles recording one goal each.
LHU goalkeeper
Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) finished with 19 saves.
With her 19-save effort today Girardi set the new single-season record for saves with 204. The previous was 193.
