AMHERST, NY. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (6-2) took down Salem University in straight sets earlier today and the Bald Eagles capped the day with a win over Glenville State tonight, once again in straight sets.

Match 1: Salem, W 3-0
The Bald Eagles jumped in front early taking the first set, 25-22, and LHU did not look back taking sets three and four by a score of 25-15 and 25-19, respectively.

Kristen Nealon (Horsham, Pa./Archbishop Wood) led a balanced Bald Eagle offense dishing out a game high 35 assists. Nealon added 13 digs and a team best three service aces to her effort.

Krystal Heffelfinger (Danielsville, Pa./Northampton) and
Breanna McDonald (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) both put up 9 kills and paced the Haven attack. Gloriah Kroh (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area) and
Cassidy Hoover (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle High) each added 8 kills in a balanced match.

Paige Wolfe (Plano, Tx./Plano West) posted a game best 16 digs for the Bald Eagles and McDonald added 14 digs to a strong defensive performance.

Match 2: Glenville State, W, 3-0
The Haven got rolling early once again and took the opening set, 25-19. LHU kept the momentum and powered to the second and third set wins by 25-18 and 25-17 margins.

McDonald continued her fine form knocking home a game high 15 kills and five service aces. Nealon once more led all players with her 32 assists.

Wolfe also tallied a game best 17 digs and three service aces of her own to cap a dominant Bald Eagle performance on the day.
