LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (1-1) pulled away from Georgian Court University (0-4), 15-10, for their first win of the year in their home opener at Charlotte E. Smith Field.

On a blistery cold afternoon in Lock Haven, the Bald Eagles soared in the second half outscoring the Lions 9-4 after an even first half.

Georgian Court struck first after a stalemate in the opening ten minutes of the game, but the Bald Eagles responded under a minute later when
Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) equalized. LHU looked poised to take control of the game and quickly went up 4-1 with 15 minutes remaining in the half. The Lions, however, clawed their way back into the game and the two teams were locked up 6-6 at the break.

The Haven took flight in the second half and blitzed the Lions for five goals in the opening five minutes of the half. The Bald Eagles kept pouring it on and led 13-7 with 20 minutes remaining, before cruising home for the 15-10 score line.

Reddinger and
Krysta Reading (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) powered the Haven attack and each posted a game high four goals.
Karli Gilbert (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown) added three goals, while
Loren Librizzi (Miller Place, N.Y./Millerplace) and
Addy Borkowski (Eagleville, Pa./Methacton) each found the back of the net once.

LHU's balanced offense assisted on eight of their 15 goals scored and
Caitlin Morrow (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) registered a game high three assists. Librizzi handed out two assists of her own, while
Campbell Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River), Reddinger and
Casey Hibbard (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne Central) each added a helper of their own.

Defensively, goalkeeper
Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) piled up 13 saves in a strong effort, while defenders
Jenna Wismer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Shannen Roy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) each forced a turnover to help preserve the win. Roy also added two ground balls to her performance.
