The Lock Haven University lacrosse team was edged out in the final minutes by a surging Shippensburg on Friday evening.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University Lacrosse team (2-2) fell to Shippensburg University (3-2), 14-13, in late dramatic fashion in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) east vs west crossover matchup at Charlotte E. Smith Field.

In the second half however, the Raiders surged back behind Hannah Seifried, who finished with a game high six goals, and overtook the Bald Eagles late in the half 13-12. Karli Gilbert (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown) knotted the game at 13-13 with four minutes to play, but a late Raider goal along with a defensive stand gave Shippensburg the road 14-13 victory. Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) was the driving force for LHU and totaled a game high seven points on five goals and two assists. Reddinger also posted a game high five ground balls. Morrow tallied four goals and one assist to help pace the Haven attack while a trio of Bald Eagles each notched two points. Campbell Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) handed out two assists, Raleigh Bateman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) notched a goal and an assist and Gilbert found the back of the net twice for the Bald Eagle offense.

Lauren Girardi (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) posted 11 saves as she attempted to keep out the surging Raiders.
